    Description

    Hardened Sine Vise
    This was made as a journeyman's project en route to becoming a master toolmaker. Rolls are 6" apart and the opening on the jaws is about 3 1/2"  and 1" high, with 7 adjusting holes to secure the movable jaw.
    It did duty only in the grinding room with gauge blocks for setting very accurate angular tolerances. As you can see the initials "E.E.G." in the recess on the end. This is a fine and precise unit, with no errant grind marks. Nice piece.
