2011 Strada EP designed by a group of coffee professionals working in different areas within specialty coffee which came up with a programmable pressure profiling machine.
The stand out feature on this machine are the individual boilers per group,  monitored by individual pressure sensors controlled by group actuators engauging individual gear motors and pumps. This means, from the moment the actuator is opened line pressure is displayed on an LCD screen in bars which can be ramped up and down as in a  traditional lever espresso machine. It has the ability to save four  profiles per group based on your creative expression.
Those of you who follow me know that I am a huge lever aficionado for good reason. The Strada is truly one of the current day machines which can bring out similar profiles to that of a lever espresso machine, with the added bonus of saving the profile for repeatability.
This machie is in pristine conditon. Previous to this, the machine was setup by the StumpTown crew, which at the time, was the first EP Strada in Canada.
This machine has always been run on a filtration system despite Vancouer, BC having exceptional water
The machine has just had  a preventative maintenance done by a trained La Marzocco technician.
